Las Vegas Turf Monsters Finish Orlando Road Series with Dramatic Overtime Victory

Orlando, FL — December 7, 2025 — The Las Vegas Turf Monsters completed a challenging two-game road series at Orlando Atletico Pro this past weekend, splitting the back-to-back set and securing the first overtime victory in franchise history.
Game One: Orlando 8, Las Vegas 5
Las Vegas opened the first game by striking early and taking a 1–0 lead. Orlando responded with a dominant stretch, scoring six unanswered goals to carry a 6–1 advantage into halftime.
The Turf Monsters surged back in the second half, delivering four unanswered goals to narrow the deficit to 6–5 and seize momentum. However, Orlando capitalized late, scoring two empty-net goals to close out an 8–5 win.
Game Two: Las Vegas 5, Orlando 4 (OT)
In the second game, Las Vegas once again generated the opening strike for a 1–0 lead. Orlando countered with two goals to enter halftime ahead 2–1.
The Turf Monsters showcased their growing second-half identity, producing three unanswered goals to take a 4–2 lead. Orlando, pushing with an extra attacker, scored twice in the closing minutes to tie the match 4–4 and send it to overtime.
Just seconds into the extra period, Maycon Franca delivered the first overtime game-winning goal in Turf Monsters history, finishing a setup from Javier Ruiz to secure a 5–4 victory. Goalkeeper Hector Casillas picked up the win minding the nets.

Looking Ahead
Las Vegas returns home with a 1–2 record, earning two points in the standings due to the overtime win. The Turf Monsters currently sit third in the South Conference.
The club will soon announce a series of player tryouts and combines for both the men’s and women’s teams. The women’s squad begins play in January, while the men’s team resumes action with a home stand on:
